Hyatt Hotels and Chase Card Services will continue their partnership in a multi-year extension of their existing agreement, it’s been announced.
The Hyatt Credit Card program allows cardholders to transfer points to Hyatt’s leading loyalty program, World of Hyatt, via Chase Ultimate Rewards. Chase is the number-one issuer of co-branded credit cards in the United States, and has partnered with Hyatt for nearly 10 years. The co-branded card offers exclusive rewards and benefits for cardholders, including up to three bonus points for every dollar spent at any Hyatt hotel or resort.
Rewards for cardholders include free nights at Hyatt properties, first-class travel perks, automatic elite status in the World of Hyatt loyalty program, and more. There are also no foreign transaction fees for the card – a big bonus for frequent overseas travelers.
Points are transferred from Chase Ultimate Rewards to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 value, and eligible Chase cardholders can redeem points for stays at any of over 700 Hyatt properties around the globe. Hyatt has hotels and resorts in 56 countries across the world.
Signup bonuses and triple points
The Hyatt Credit Card offers a signup bonus of two free nights at any Hyatt resort or hotel after cardholders spend $2,000 in the first three months after opening their account. Cardholders also get 5,000 bonus points for adding an authorized user to their account and make a purchase during the first three months.
The card offers triple points for every dollar spent on Hyatt purchases, and double points for every dollar spent at restaurants, at car rental agencies, and on airline tickets purchased directly from the airlines.
Maryam Banikarim, Hyatt’s global chief marketing officer, said the luxury hotel chain is “very pleased to extend our collaboration with Chase, continuing to deliver exclusive value through World of Hyatt and creating new, meaningful travel experiences for our mutual customers.” And Lorraine Hansen, head of Ultimate Rewards and Loyalty Solutions at Chase, said the partnership “provides great value to our shared customers and allows travelers to make the most of their earned rewards.”
