The Clarkson Inn has joined up with Stash Hotel Rewards, letting members of the rewards program earn points when they stay at the Potsdam, New York, property.
The Clarkson Inn is a Victorian-style boutique property overlooking the Raquette River and picturesque downtown Potsdam. They credit their “friendly and accommodating staff” with the hotel’s 75% return-guest rate. They offer cookies for breakfast, period décor, and warm hospitality. Jeff Low, the founder and CEO of Stash Hotel Rewards, says guests at the Clarkson should “expect to be spoiled.”
Famous guests—from musicians to comedians
The guest book at the Clarkson Inn reads like a Who’s-Who of famous folks from many different fields. Comedians Adam Sandler, Dennis Miller, and Pauly Shore have stayed there, as have musicians such as The Beach Boys, opera singer Renee Fleming, folk legend Judy Collins, and rockers the Goo Goo Dolls. Many professional athletes, including the Harlem Globetrotters, have also laid their heads on the fluffy pillows at the Clarkson.
Stash Rewards gives five points per dollar spent
The Stash Rewards program, which is free to join, offers rewards at independent hotels across the country. Guests earn five points for every dollar they spend on regular room rates, and they can redeem their points at any participating property. Points don’t expire, and there are no blackout dates or restrictions on redemption. This is in contrast to some other hotel rewards programs with large chain hotels, which may impose rules around when folks can redeem their reward points.
George Lavigne, general manager at The Clarkson, said the inn is glad to join up with Stash and offer guests a way to earn reward points. He said they wants guests to be rewarded for their loyalty, “while remaining independent and personalized.” Lavigne said the Clarkson Inn was honored to be included “in a very distinguished network of similar boutique hotels throughout the country.”
Other ways to earn Stash Rewards
The Stash Rewards network has participating properties in the United States, Panama, and the Caribbean, so travelers who prefer to stay in small hotels have plenty of options to earn rewards when visiting those regions.
They can also apply for the Stash Rewards Visa card, which helps them earn more points by offering rewards for every dollar they spend. When using the Stash Rewards Visa to pay for stays at participating properties, cardholders can even double dip on rewards, earning points through the card, and points directly from Stash Rewards.
