American Express cardmembers have a new option for booking travel. HelloGbye has partnered with AmEx to allow cardholders to more easily make travel arrangements via mobile device.
“Our partnership will provide access to American Express’ data insights, capabilities and deep travel industry knowledge, allowing us to better tailor our offering for even the most demanding travelers,” said Jonathan Miller, founder of HelloGbye. The HelloGbye app will be available in the App Store for iOS users in January. Travelers can speak directly into the app, which uses artificial intelligence to understand what they are saying. Their travel preferences and itineraries will be individualized, making it fast and easy to book hotel rooms, airline tickets, car reservations and more.
American Express vice president Marc Ginsberg said the HelloGbye partnership would help use Amex’s “big data analytics” to bring “unique predictive modeling capabilities to solve complex problems, such as hotel bookings, and help more travelers.” He said due to an increase in people booking travel through mobile devices, “viewing itineraries that are most relevant to our personal travel style is essential to any search.” Ginsberg said the booking process will be “quick and seamless” when using HelloGbye.
Amex strives to be the premier card for travelers
For people who love to travel, an American Express card is practically indispensible. Offering things like 24/7 concierge service, car rental insurance, travel insurance, frequent flyer rewards programs, no foreign transaction fee, zero liability for fraudulent transactions, and purchase protection, Amex cards are handy to have in a traveler’s back pocket.
With the addition of the HelloGbye app, cardholders can now book flights, make itinerary changes, book hotels, and make plans for up to eight travelers in a group. There are no multiple drop down menus, filtering, or scrolling required. HelloGbye is free to download on iOS, and is quick and easy to set up. Booking fee information and complete terms of use are available on their app, and on their website.
HelloGbye’s chief analytics officer, James Valverde, said the team has worked hard to enhance their digital platform. “We see huge potential for this partnership to help make our brand increasingly customized and tailored for the customer.”
