Start Improving with Lowe's Credit

Though it may seem like a lot of choices, the variety in Lowe's Visa credit cards offers something for everyone. There are five cards one can apply for. Two are for consumers including the Lowe's Consumer Credit Card and Lowe's Project Card. There are three Lowe's Business credit cards including Lowe's Business Rewards Card, Lowe's Accounts Receivable Card, and Lowe's Business Account Card.

With the exception of the Lowe's Business Rewards Card, all credit lines are offered through GE Capital Retail Bank, the financial unit of General Electric. GE Capital has over a decade of service in commercial lending and leasing, as well as a range of other financial services. General Electric is one of the most profitable companies in the United States, with over 100 years of successful business.

There are 1,750 Lowe's Home Improvement stores across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, making them the second largest home improvement retailer in the world. With current further international plans in the works, it's safe to say you may want to take your Lowe's Credit Card wherever you go.

The majority of the card offerings are simply direct credit lines through GE Capital only usable at Lowe's. They carry no annual fee and offer flexible payment options.

For example, the Lowe's Accounts Receivable card is a charge card that requires you to pay in full each month. The Lowe's Business Account card will allow you to carry a balance and pay over time. Both of these cards come with periodic offers from Lowe's such as discounts or special promotions.

Lowe's Consumer Credit Cards have similar terms and offer two card designs: a standard blue card, or a design representing Lowe's racing team, Team #48. The Lowe's Project Card is the other one for consumer, but this one is for projects that you want to finance. It offers 6 months of 0% interest on purchases, but you need to make an initial purchase of $1,000 to qualify.

The Lowe's Business Rewards Card from American Express can be used outside of Lowe's and will also build rewards points towards Lowe's purchases. You'll also receive the promotional offers and discounts, and you can pay over time.

With all of these credit card account offerings from Lowe's, finding one that fits your needs is easy. The only difficult decision you'll face will be whether you want to start updating the kitchen or the bathroom.
