A new co-branded travel rewards credit card from Chase and Marriott will offer card members a 100,000-point sign-up bonus, as well as six points per dollar spend on all purchases at participating Marriott properties. This is the most rewarding card ever offered from Marriott and Chase.
The card, which has an annual fee of $95, gives cardholders a wealth of perks, including no foreign transaction fees, purchase protection, trip delay reimbursement, automatic Silver Elite status, free in-room Wi-Fi, and a free anniversary night at eligible hotels. In addition to the six-points-per-dollar earning for Marriott spending, cardholders get double points on all other purchases.
Many properties to choose from
There are almost 6,500 Marriott properties in 127 different countries and across 29 different hotel brands. David Flueck, senior vice president of global loyalty at Marriott International, says the card is essential for frequent travelers. “The strong value proposition of the card, along with the enhancement to Marriott’s loyalty programs, makes the Premier Plus card a must-have travel rewards card.”
Leslie Gillin, president of co-branded cards at Chase, said folks would be able to maximize their rewards with this new product. “Travel is all about creating memorable experiences—whether that comes from a self-discovery journey or the opportunity to reconnect with those who matter most. We have designed this new card with that in mind and are giving cardmembers the opportunity to experience more—more points on all your spend, more places to stay and more perks to elevate your travel experience.”
Security takes top place
One thing travelers often worry about when hitting the road is whether their payment information will be secure. Marriott and Chase co-branded travel cards come with an EMV chip for top-notch security. The cards also offer zero liability for fraud. So, in the unlikely event that the card is compromised, cardholders will not be responsible for any fraudulent charges.
It’s important to remember to always keep your account number secure, use secure Wi-Fi when making online purchases with credit cards, and be aware of your surroundings when traveling. With a great travel rewards credit card, heightened security is only one of many benefits you’ll have.
