Foodies will delight in a new partnership between Chase Pay and Tock, a mobile app that lets them reserve spots at unique culinary events and fine dining establishments around the country. Chef’s tables, winery tours, pop-up restaurants, and curated menus are among the special events folks will have access to through Tock—and they’ll be able to pay from their phone with Chase Pay and their debit or credit card.
Nick Kokonas is the award-winning restaurateur who created Tock; he wanted to change the way the restaurant business is run by making it easier for business owners to sell culinary events, reduce the incidence of no-shows, and increase revenue.
“Great hospitality begins at the moment of discovery and booking, and overwhelmingly, that takes place digitally. With Chase, Tock will greatly expand delicious offerings from chefs and vintners around the world and bring them to life for customers,” said Kokonas.
Chase Pay users can reserve their spot at events through Tock, and not only will they be able to easily pay for their reservation, they’ll get exclusive access to tables, reservation times, tastings, chef-led experiences, and other events they wouldn’t be able to get without the Chase Pay partnership.
Tock’s online booking system works with acclaimed and in-demand restaurants, wineries, pop-ups, and events worldwide.
Helping customers connect with their passions
“We want to provide customers with a commerce experience that helps them easily connect to the things they love,” said Jennifer Roberts, head of Chase Pay.
The Chase Pay mobile app and digital engagement platform lets users pay merchants online or in stores, using their smartphone or tablet. Anyone with an eligible Chase Visa debit or credit card, such as Chase Sapphire or Chase Freedom, is able to access Chase Pay; the cards are preloaded for easy use.
Additional perks include the ability to redeem reward points at checkout, order and pay for takeout, and access special offers.
The Tock/Chase Pay partnership will officially launch sometime late in the summer of 2018.
